Ketevan Badridze

Ketevan Badridze, born in Tbilisi, the Republic of Georgia, began piano studies at the Georgian Special Music School. She continued her studies at the Tbilisi State Conservatory and in 1993 upon completion of her post graduate degree she was appointed to the piano faculty. Ms. Badridze has been a major prize winner of numerous international piano competitions, such as Newport International Piano Competition, UK; Georgian Republic Piano Competition; The World International Piano Competition - Cincinnati, USA; New Orleans International Piano Competition, USA, and the Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition – Radford VA, USA.
Since her first performance on stage with orchestra at the age of twelve, Ketevan has appeared with the Tbilisi Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, the Erevan Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra. She is a frequent performer of solo and chamber music in Georgia, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy and Germany. Her recordings can be found on Amazon.com and Mazur Media worldwide.
In 2000 she moved to the United States and joined the Alexander Toradze Piano Studio, and has appeared with the Studio at the numerous music venues both in Europe and the United States, such as Columbia University in New-York, Wigmore hall in London, Settimane Musicali di Stresa e del Lago Maggiore and Ravena Festival both in Italy; Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival 2002 as a part of “World Rising Stars” series broadcasted on the National Public Radio (NPR); Ruhr Keyboard Festival in Germany, among others.
Since Spring 2005 she is a full time faculty member of Indiana University at South Bend.
